Rediscover the Classics: Philosophy Tutoring for Curious Adults
Why Study Philosophy?
Are you a retiree looking to reflect on a life well lived—or a stay-at-home parent seeking thoughtful engagement beyond the daily routine?
Philosophy can offer you more than just intellectual stimulation—it can provide guidance, clarity, and renewed purpose.
Philosophy for Life offers a space to reflect deeply, tools for navigating life transitions, and a way to keep the mind sharp, curious, and engaged.
Make Time for Big Ideas
Philosophy invites us to slow down and ask deeper questions: What is the good life? What can we truly know? What gives life meaning? What does it mean to be a good person, a good parent, or a good citizen?
For retirees and stay-at-home parents, this can be a deeply fulfilling way to reflect, grow, and stay intellectually engaged. Whether you’re curious about ethics, religion, justice, or the nature of happiness, philosophy offers space to think critically, ask boldly, and connect your life experience to timeless ideas. All in a relaxed, conversational setting.
Join Philosophy of Life to keep your mind active and curious and to grapple with the fundamental questions of existence.

Services we offer
Individualized Tutoring
In one-on-one tutoring sessions, you’ll choose from one of four core topics—Introduction to Philosophy, Ethics, Political Philosophy, or World Religions. Each path includes a curated reading list of classic texts. You’ll complete weekly readings at home, then meet with me for a one-hour session a week where we unpack ideas together.
Curated Reading Lists
Each tutoring track comes with a thoughtfully curated reading list, developed to guide you through the essential texts and ideas within your chosen topic. These lists balance accessibility with depth, featuring classic works by thinkers such as Plato, Confucius, Descartes, and the Buddha. The reading selections are designed to spark insight and conversation.
Thoughtful Exploration
Each tutoring session is structured as a guided conversation. Drawing on the Socratic method, I'll ask open-ended questions to help you think critically, draw connections, and articulate your own views. My role isn’t to tell you what to believe, but to support your exploration of the material with clarity and intellectual honesty. See testimonials.
